This incredible drama looks at Holocaust survivors right after the war, as they begin to piece together their lives in convalescent centers in Sweden in 1945. Focus is on 25 year old Miklos who, despite a negative medical prognosis, has dreams of finding love. He sends letters to 117 Jewish Hungarian girls convalescing in Sweden, hoping to find love – and 19 year old Lili responds. Based on a true story.
