Second Generation Survivors Seminar Series

01 Forum for Dialogue - Presented by Marta Uslekniewicz

Join us for the beginning session of this seminar series that features the Forum for Dialogue, presented by Marta Usiekniewicz. Marta Usiekniewicz, the Communications Coordinator at Forum for Dialogue, holds a Ph.D. in literature and gender studies. She lectures at the University of Warsaw’s American Studies Center and was a recipient of the Fulbright Junior Research Award, which she spent at SUNY Buffalo. During the session, you will see examples of Forum’s activities on the ground in Poland in the context of rebuilding the connections between contemporary Poland and Jewish communities as well as education of non-Jewish students and empowerment of local leaders.

Forum for Dialogue is the biggest and oldest non-governmental organization working in the realm of Polish/Jewish relations. We work in small Polish towns, which once had vibrant Jewish communities, making our goal to share our experience gained from two decades of Forum’s work. This work encompasses a network of people working on commemoration, preserving and researching communities and connections of yesterday and today.
