The Book Smugglers tells the nearly unbelievable story of ghetto residents in Vilna who rescued thousands of rare books and manuscripts – first from the Nazis and then from the Soviets.  Professor David Fishman teaches Modern Jewish History at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.
