Kristallnacht Community Learning Lab Experience (online)

Join our community as we remember and reflect on the impact of Kristallnacht. Through thought-provoking and primary source analysis, viewers will learn from students and community members about why it is important to study the deadly and destructive pogrom perpetrated by the Nazis and their collaborators against the Jews of Germany, Austria, and the Sudetenland on November 9th and 10th 1938, what warning signs were dismissed by the globe and what lessons it holds for the world today.

This video will include live interaction where viewers can share their thoughts and insights and answer essential questions about why remembering Kristallnacht is so important.

HERC’s new community engagement initiative, the HERC Community Learning Lab, received funding from Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Teen Philanthropy Board. Inspired by local student responses to a question, the community lab will put HERC staff, students, educators, and adult learners in conversation around current topics in Holocaust education.

Generously sponsored by Marvin and Barbara Tick and Betsy Maier Reilly and William Reilly

In partnership with the Coalition for Jewish Learning and Jewish Community Relations Council of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, Milwaukee Jewish Teen Philanthropy Board, Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee, Milwaukee Turners, and Ovation Jewish Home.
