AI & Media Literacy in the Holocaust Classroom

Join us as we hear from Dr. Rachel N. Baum, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Social media is filled with AI images of the Holocaust, pushed out by accounts seeking to evoke emotion and get engagement. So-called “deep fakes” allow the creation of realistic videos of people saying things they never said. What is a Holocaust educator to do?  How can we not only confront the limitations of AI but also help our students be thoughtful creators and consumers of information? This interactive workshop explores these issues and offers practical strategies for classroom teachers.
