HERC will be presenting a program on December 9 at the Waupaca Area Public Library during USHMM’s traveling exhibition visit “Americans and the Holocaust.”
Jeffrey Gingold speaks about his father Sam Gingold’s experiences during the Holocaust. Sam Gingold was only seven years old in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. Sam and his family were taken to the Warsaw Ghetto, where he helped his family survive by smuggling food and medicines. Jeffrey will share the secrets of their survival and escape from the Ghetto, hiding and out running the Gestapo.
This impactful program is made possible by the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center in Milwaukee.
This program is FREE to the public. Although all ages are welcome, sensitive topics will be discussed, which may not be appropriate for children 12 and under.
