HERC’s Holocaust Education Fellow with Cardinal Stritch University, Dr. Dan Haumschild, will address how the legacy of genocide is remembered in Rwanda. His talk will include a brief overview of the Rwandan genocide and a more engaged look at the manner that this event is addressed in public discourse. Though anchored by Dr. Haumschild’s research on Rwanda, this conversation addresses the importance of maintaining open dialogue about conflicted histories, a topic of great relevance to the current atmosphere in American politics.
