Since Sunday’s film screening and performance by Present Music, we have received requests from many program attendees for a discussion to help dissect and interpret the antisemitism portrayed in the 1924 political satire. Given the alarming rise in antisemitism in today’s world, especially over the past few weeks, we want to make sure we are creating a safe space for such a conversation, which will take place on Friday, November 3, at 11am on Zoom. This conversation will be moderated by several local Jewish cultural partners, including the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center, Present Music, Jewish Museum Milwaukee, Harry & Rose Sampson Family Jewish Community Center, and the Sam & Helen Stahl Center for Jewish Studies at UWM.
Free and open to any Sunday evening attendees. Advanced registration is required, and a Zoom link will be provided.
Organizers request that specific questions you’d like to ask for Q&A be submitted at the time of registration in the field provided. This will allow for a more thoughtful conversation. Thank you!
